Description

A DNS reconnaissance and brute-force tool used during the information gathering phase. It performs DNS lookups, reverse lookups, and brute-forces subdomains to discover hosts associated with a target domain.

Usage 1: DNS Reconnaissance on a Domain

Run fierce against a target domain to perform DNS enumeration including brute-forcing subdomains and reverse lookups.

Command:

fierce -dns els-dns.site

Notes

  • Fierce performs DNS lookups, brute-force subdomain enumeration, and reverse lookups automatically.
  • Useful during the information gathering / reconnaissance phase of a penetration test.
  • Pre-installed on Kali Linux.
